I am an independent journalist based in Bangalore India. This is my 19th year in the profession and it has been fulfilling. I have a Bachelors in Journalism and a Masters in Mass Communication and began my career with Television. I soon made the transition to the print medium. I worked with an English Daily handling features creation as well as quality management. I moved on to the world of magazines.

Today, as an independent features journalist, my career has given me the flexibility of managing a full time career and a tween gracefully. Feature writing on a range of topics is a now forte.My work has been published in top Indian publications such as The Hindu, Firstpost, Deccan Herald and Smartlife from The Week. My work has appeared in the Indian editions of international publications such as Huffington Post - India, The Quint of Bloomberg,  Condenast Traveller, Architectural Digest, Travel and Leisure, Nat Geo Traveller, Lifestyle Asia among others. I have bylines in Al Jazeera as well. 


I am also a food and beverage writer and besides having written extensively on the subject. I am also on the jury panels for prestigious F&B Awards such as the Epicurean Guild Awards by Living Foodz Channel, Condenast Restaurant Awards, BW Hotelier Awards and The Week Restaurant Awards. I am the Bangalore critic for Eazydiner by Vir Sanghvi. 

I have had the pleasure of interacting with celebrities A R Rahman, Shabana Azmi, Wilbur Smith and Johnny Depp, Nandita Das; and long discussions with personalities like Dr Devi Shetty, Arunima Sinha (the world's first amputee to scale Mt Everest), and even a visit to the Central Jail in Bangalore for a story.

My interest in food and wine has seen interviews with the likes of Janice Wong, Emelia Jackson, Renae Smith, Chef Vivek Singh, Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, Chef Vikas Khanna, Madhur Jaffrey, the late Tarla Dalal and many others. Highlights of course have been personal interviews with all three of the celebrity judges on Masterchef Australia and recently, the Godfather of Modern Cooking Marco Pierre White.

I am a GNI India Training Network Trainer and have conducted workshops on fake news and its detection. I also conduct Journalism based workshops on Stories and its Production, Lifestyle Journalism, Interviewing techniques etc.
